Firefighters from Station 77 on the line from the La Tuna Canyon fire, September, 2017.

Donate to LA Fire Station 77

Our communities are able to help our firefighters by adopting their local fire station. The Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation collects funds to purchase items from the station’s wish list. Donating through the “Adopt a Fire Station” program will help our Sun Valley Fire Station purchase some of the things they really need.

DONATE ONLINE: Go to the LAFD Foundation and click on the SUPPORT button. Before you hit submit, type in “Station 77” under special instructions. If you want to enter your own donation amount (“Other Amount”), put your cursor into the box and type the dollar amount, and follow it with zeros to get to the right amount you wish to donate, such as $00.00 … $00.04 … $00.40 … $04.00 … $40.00 (how an ATM works).

DONATE BY CHECK: Mark checks payable to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, and mail to: Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, 1875 Century Park East, Suite 200, Los Angeles, CA 90067 and please write “Fire Station 77” on the check’s memo line. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the Foundation sends a tax receipt and thank-you letter acknowledging all donations. The LAFD Foundation was the entity that bought the LAFD helicopter pilots night-vision goggles so they could fly at night, saving many of our neighborhoods!

Did you know?
Los Angeles City pays only for the basic equipment for fire fighting, rescue & EMT services and for LAFD salaries. Specialized equipment & fire station needs come from donations. With your pledge, our station can get the equipment, furniture, or computers they require. It also provides the firefighters a few amenities that make their time on the job a bit more comfortable. Station 77 is in much need of new exercise equipment (the firefighters bring in their own personal equipment for the station’s use!) This exercise equipment is critical to keep our firefighters in shape in order to do their job. Think of the grueling physical work they must do during a wildfire, the hiking up our hills/mountains, combating the extreme heat all the while carrying 45 to 75 pounds of equipment and dragging hoselines. They are also in desperate need of new recliners that are used to sleep on when they are on a long deployment, and used not only by our firefighters, but also LAPD, and other agencies when a large emergency is called, such as the fire, floods, etc. Station 77 is used as an interagency hub and is active all year round, 24/7.

Remember our recent wildfires & other neighborhood emergencies and please show thanks to Station 77 by supporting our firefighters with your donation!
