We first presented to the City Council Rules committee the morning of 6/30/17 at City Hall and they unanimously passed it so it would go on to the City Council for a vote.  Immediately following that committee meeting was the regular City Council Session that started at 10 am. It also passed unanimously.  Also, please note this part of the “Recommendations for Council action”:

“INSTRUCT the relevant departments to perform the necessary requirements to effectuate the naming of this community, including but not limited to, the installation of signs.

So kudos to Monica Vacas for organizing our most wonderful volunteers, for the help of Arturo Gonzalez, and to each and every one of you who took the time out of your busy life to go through the neighborhood, pass out flyers and then return to knock on doors to collect the signature.

Just a reminder, you do not have to use Glencrest Hills as your address. It will always be an option. If you have used “Sun Valley” or even “Burbank” (for those in the 91504 zip code) you may continue to do so. Also, you can also always use “Los Angeles.” Again, here is the boundaries for the new Glencrest Hills:
